Jeff, owner of What the Grill, did a nice job of consulting with us to help us design our outdoor kitchen. We are extremely pleased with the outcome. So far, I’ve cooked appetizers before dinner (we ate dinner out with friends) and this morning I cooked breakfast outside. The Primo ceramic grill is wonderful.

Serving Wrightsville Beach, NC
About thirty minutes from our Leland showroom, out through Wilmington.
Wrightsville Beach is where material choices stop being cosmetic. Salt air is relentless here, and it finds cheap stainless, ordinary hardware, and untreated cabinetry within a season or two. Everything we specify for the island is chosen with that in mind, from marine-grade polymer cabinetry to the grade of stainless on the grill itself. Lots are also tighter, so layouts have to earn every inch.
Including Harbor Island, Shell Island, Figure Eight Island, Sound-side properties and the surrounding area.

What holds up to salt air at the beach?
Grade matters more than brand. We specify marine-grade polymer and higher-grade stainless for island properties, along with hardware and fasteners chosen for salt exposure. Covers help, and so does rinsing. What fails fastest is builder-grade stainless and standard cabinet hardware, which is exactly what we steer you away from here.
Can you build an outdoor kitchen on a small beach lot?
Usually yes, but the layout has to be honest about the space. On tighter island lots we often go with a single well-planned run rather than an L or a U, and we lean on freestanding or compact built-in appliances. A smaller kitchen that fits properly beats a large one crammed in.
